Juba reaffirms commitment to ‘forgive’ those it intended to harm

The UNCONVENTIONAL national prayer day that was recently held in Juba, capital of South Sudan will go down in history as ‘The Day of Forgiveness’ as senior government officials – in reparations for a decreed-by-the-President national dialogue initiative – publicly came out and announced that (after an order by the President) they  are willing to forgive those they had meticulously planned and intended to seriously harm.

High Court orders Pres Kiir to change official signature within two weeks

A High Court judge in Juba, who appears to have had enough with the never-ending cases of forgery and theft in the Office of the President of South Sudan (OOPSS), has ordered the President to ‘change his official signature’ or else he [the President] and his OOPSS will be held accountable for making it too easy to rob and loot resources that legally belong to the struggling state.

Environmental Groups praise South Sudan for recycling Ministers

In a surprise and unusual move, a few international environmental groups have bravely come out and actually praised the not-so-popular government of South Sudan on its recent formation of a new Transitional Government of National Unity (TGoNU) primarily comprising of familiar and unpopular ministers who have been holding ministerial positions and have contributed to the bad image of the world’s newest nation.

South Sudan JIA to donate air-stairs to Ethiopia’s Gambella Airport

Embarrassing pictures making rounds on the internet showing respectable South Sudanese generals and war veterans in Gambella Airport, Ethiopia struggling to climb a construction-type ladder to get into a passenger plane has struck a nerve with patriotic can-donate-state-property people in Juba and they have decided to help that struggling airport in Ethiopia by donating – not one- but two air-stairs.

Government to give civil servants two days off to ‘prepare and receive’ Machar

In a move aimed at showing its dedication and commitment to peace, the government in Juba has hinted that it would be giving its hard working civil servants two days off to ‘properly prepare and receive’ Dr. Riek Machar – designated Vice-President, former rebel-turned-peace-partner and leader of the SPLM-IO – and his entourage.
