Kiir gives Machar a tour of the 2016 J1 battlefield

In what many witnesses described as one of the most heart-touching moments of Dr Machar’s visit to Juba since escaping death for the second time, Pres. Salva Kiir walked hand-in-hand with Machar as he slowly guided Dr Machar through the 2016 J1 battlefield where hundreds of soldiers from both sides perished.

Ousted former South Sudan oil minister rejoins Riek Machar’s rebel group

After getting fired in a televised presidential decree in Juba a few days ago, South Sudan’s former minister of Petroleum Ambassador Ezekiel Lol Gatkouth has reportedly fled to Khartoum aboard a secretly chartered plane, and announced his return to the mother SPLM-IO of Dr. Riek Machar.

Pres. Kiir rushes back to Juba ahead of Dr. Machar’s rumoured return

Reports of rebel leader and First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar’s unexpected and imminent return to Juba has caught many by surprise, including the President who is away touring Bahr El Ghazal. Saakam has learned that the tour is being cut short and arrangements are already in place to ensure Pres. Kiir is back in Juba before his nemesis arrives.
